The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program provides a curriculum and supervised clinical experiences designed to fulfill the required standards established by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). This accreditation ensures that the program meets the highest quality standards in counselor education and prepares students for professional practice.
Successful completion of the program fulfills the educational requirements needed to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut (please see other states where our curriculum meets the educational requirements for licensure below). Graduates are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and supervised training to sit for the required licensure examinations and begin their careers as competent and ethical clinical mental health counselors.
